Londonderry School students and staff were joined by guests from Giants of Africa, the Toronto Raptors, the MLSE Foundation, and the Edmonton basketball community to celebrate the opening of their brand new outdoor basketball court.
This incredible gift to the Londonderry basketball community represents the first Giants of Africa court to be built outside of Africa. Giants of Africa, co-founded by Raptors president Masai Ujiri, works to empower youth through the sport of basketball. Since launching in 2003, the group has helped launch 29 new courts in nine African countries with the goal to ultimately build 100 courts.
