On June 1, 2023, our community came together to celebrate Delton School’s new, refreshed basketball court! The event included remarks by:

  • Board Chair, Trisha Estabrooks;
  • Foundation Director, Kyla Amrhein;
  • Delton School Principal, Christine Simmons;
  • President of the Edmonton Stingers, Reed Clarke, and;
  • Vice President of Go Auto, Duncan Cochrane.

Joshua Harnack, a local Edmontonian artist, painted the beautiful mural showcased on the court. The mural includes a large dragon front and centre to represent the Delton Dragons and galvanize school pride.

Activities included a cheque presentation, ribbon cutting ceremony, and the unveiling of the revitalized basketball court. Players from the Edmonton Stingers were on hand to celebrate the court via games, drills and dunks with 400 Delton School students.

The unveiling of Delton School’s new refreshed basketball court marks the new beginning of an ongoing partnership with the Edmonton Stingers to revitalize basketball courts at schools across the city! Go Auto has generously donated a whopping $500,000 to the initiative and an additional $500,000 in matching donations.
