Across Edmonton Public Schools, every school day begins with the same hope: that each student walks into their classroom feeling ready to learn, supported and confident in what they can achieve. Thanks to you, our generous donors, partners and community, that hope came to life in meaningful impact throughout the 2024–25 school year.
This year’s Annual Impact Report highlights the powerful difference you made in helping students access healthy meals, essential technology, mental wellness supports and the extra time and resources they need in the classroom to build a strong foundation for learning. Because when we work together, students thrive.
Fueling Focus and Confidence Through School Nutrition
Thanks to your incredible support, students across 79 schools received daily, nutritious meals or snacks through the Top-ups for Tummies program, helping more than 4,200 students every day, arrive in the classroom nourished and ready to learn.
School staff see the impact firsthand: improved focus and students who walk into class with dignity and confidence. As one principal shared, “full bellies set the stage for focused learning, and every child should have that opportunity.”
Thanks to your generosity, we gave that opportunity to thousands of students every day.
Strengthening Student Mental Wellness
Every student deserves to feel seen, supported and safe at school. Through support from Breaking the Silence and additional community donors, the Foundation invested over $21,000 in specialized training and resources for Edmonton Public Schools’ Mental Health Therapists and Wellness Coaches in the 2024-25 school year.
This expanded support included evidence-based programming and new Mental Health Resource Kits, increasing the support available for students who rely on caring adults to navigate life’s challenges.

Helping Our Youngest Learners Start Strong
In the 2024–25 school year, the Foundation continued to give a boost to our youngest learners through supporting Full-day Kindergarten and Literacy programs. Over $45,000 was raised to support giving students extra time and literacy supports in the classroom.
These little learners received the time, attention and resources they needed to start strong and create the fundamental building blocks to lifelong learning.
Closing the Digital Divide, One Chromebook at a Time
Through the Chromebooks for Kids program, donors helped distribute 623 brand-new devices to students across 88 schools, making this the highest-demand year to date.
These devices help students write, research, create and build skills that prepare them for the future. Your support ensures every learner has the tools they need to succeed, both today and tomorrow.
Your Impact Touches Lives Across Our City
In total, donors, partners, and community members helped the Foundation invest over $500,000 directly into programs that remove barriers to learning in the 2024–25 school year.
These investments reached broadly across our Division supporting technology, school nutrition, mental wellness, playground spaces, backpacks and essential resources.
