2024-25 Annual Impact Report: Helping Students Thrive, Inside the Classroom and Beyond

Across Edmonton Public Schools, every school day begins with the same hope: that each student walks into their classroom feeling ready to learn, supported and confident in what they can achieve. Thanks to you, our generous donors, partners and community, that hope came to life in meaningful impact throughout the 2024–25 school year.

This year’s Annual Impact Report highlights the powerful difference you made in helping students access healthy meals, essential technology, mental wellness supports and the extra time and resources they need in the classroom to build a strong foundation for learning. Because when we work together, students thrive.

Thank You for Supporting Brighter Futures

This impact belongs to you. Your generosity helps students step into their classrooms with confidence. You help build a stronger, more equitable future for all Edmonton Public Schools students.

Together, we’re helping every student reach their full potential.

National Philanthropy Day

On Friday, November 10, we celebrated National Philanthropy Day with the people and partners who help make Edmonton brighter through their generosity and heart.

This year, the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation was proud to nominate Kingsway Mall for their long-standing commitment to Edmonton students. For over 12 years, Kingsway has been one of our most dedicated partners, donating space, supplies and support for our annual Wrap and Roll Fundraiser and this year’s first-ever Pack the Pack School Supplies Drive.

Their generosity has helped us raise vital funds and awareness to support students across our Division. Thank you, Kingsway Mall, for helping students thrive and for inspiring others to give back.

Mark Your Calendars: Wrap and Roll is back at Kingsway Mall!

From December 12–23, visit Wrap and Roll and have your holiday gifts wrapped by our wonderful volunteers in exchange for a donation to the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation. Every dollar raised removes barriers to learning and provides essential supports for students across our 214 schools.

Hours: Monday–Saturday 11–7 | Sunday 12–5

Location: Kingsway Mall (Located on the main level near Entrance 2)

Meet Our Board: Dr. Linda Miller

What inspires our Board Members to champion the Foundation? We asked them to share the heart behind their support, and their stories are too powerful not to share. Stay tuned as we spotlight their voices!

About Linda

As Chair of the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation Board, Dr. Linda Miller brings both leadership and a lifelong passion for helping others thrive. She is also the Owner of EWI Works, where she helps organizations prevent workplace injuries and build healthier, safer environments.

Dr. Miller believes that strong public education is the key to unlocking every child’s potential, giving students from all backgrounds the opportunity to succeed in life. Her dedication to equity and opportunity is at the heart of her service to the Foundation.

When she’s not leading or mentoring, you can find Linda enjoying the outdoors - cycling, hiking, and kayaking her way through Alberta’s natural beauty.

We’re grateful for Dr. Miller’s leadership, insight and unwavering belief in the power of education.

Q: What inspired you to join the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation Board?

“I have a strong belief that if an individual receives a solid education, it is fundamental to setting them up towards success in life. What we do at the Foundation is to level up the playing field in many ways, since we know that not all kids come with the necessary supports in place to help support learning.”
