May has been a month of movement, generosity and community spirit across the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation. From the Public Schools Administrators Association’s (PSAA) spectacular Bids for Kids fiesta that raised over $18,000 to students reaching fitness goals during our Move for Kids campaign, our supporters have gone above and beyond to create brighter futures for local youth. Thanks to the inspiring dedication of our schools, staff, and partners like the Wolfe Pack Warriors Foundation, we are continuing to provide Edmonton students with the vital tools, healthy snacks and books they need to truly thrive.
Move for Kids
We moved. We raised. We made a difference!
This was our inaugural year for Move for Kids. A HUGE thank you and congratulations to everyone who participated in this year’s Move For Kids campaign! Students, staff and community members have been moving and donating this spring as a way of participating in the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation Move for Kids movement challenge.
We’re honoring Dr. Linda Miller’s incredible 16-year journey with the Foundation by putting her philosophy into practice: physical activity is the ultimate catalyst for mental health, social connection and academic success.✨
Among the participants this year was Dr. Lila Fahlman School, where students were encouraged to be active at home, in their classrooms and with their families. The school held a Fun Day, a rock climbing field trip, various phys ed stations, movement breaks and academic challenges that students participated in for a special half day, all in an effort to reach their goal of $500.
Constable Daniel Woodall School participated too, creating an amazing video to highlight their efforts. Skipping, playground adventures, tarmac games, walks and movement breaks, and classroom challenges were a part of the fun, all in support of the Foundation.
To all those who participated in Move for Kids - your dedication to staying active and raising funds for the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation is inspiring. It’s not too late to support the campaign and donate to help us reach our goal!
Thanks to you, we are providing students across our city with more of the tools they need to succeed. Thank you!

Bids for Kids
On Friday, May 1, our team attended the Public Schools Administrators Association’s (PSAA) 36th annual event, Bids for Kids, a spectacular fiesta of giving in support of the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation! Over $18,000 was raised in support of our Foundation, 100% of which will be used to level the playing field for students who come to the classroom at a disadvantage.
The night was filled with generosity, laughter, live music from local musician Kim Gates and most of all, community spirit.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the Public Schools Administrators Association (PSAA), the event committee, and to every staff member, school and community donor who contributed auction items and door prizes. You made this event special.
