Introducing the Career Pathways Fund – A Tribute to Superintendent Darrel Robertson

After 30 years with Edmonton Public Schools, including 12 years as Superintendent, Darrel Robertson is retiring.

Throughout his tenure, Superintendent Robertson has been a passionate advocate for students, leading with a vision rooted in equity, innovation, collaboration, and student well-being.

To honour his extraordinary legacy, the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation is excited to announce the Career Pathways Fund, in celebration of Superintendent Robertson.

This new fund supports one of Superintendent Robertson’s greatest passions: supporting students on their path toward a life of dignity and fulfilment through Career Pathways initiatives such as Dual Credit or Campus EPSB. These opportunities help students explore post-secondary education, career training, and hands-on learning experiences through public education.

“We need to ensure that kids have the resilience to be lifelong learners, to be curious in their learning, and to explore new opportunities and ideas as they transition to the workforce and they’re faced with constant change. Career Pathways is how we support kids, how they find relevance and meaning in their learning, and how they’ll transition from Edmonton Public Schools to a life of dignity and fulfilment.”
