The Breaking the Silence Walk and Run is a community event that promotes mental and physical wellness through running, walking, and jogging. Participants of all fitness levels can join, as the event offers a platform to come together and share experiences related to mental health while surrounded by a supportive environment. This event breaks down stigma and promotes openness, empathy and support for mental health.
Net proceeds from this event will be donated to the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation and their Mental Health Therapist Project. This funding will support 3-5 EPSB High schools, allowing 5,000-7,000 students having access to this significant resource.
In addition to promoting mental and physical wellness, the Breaking the Silence walk and run is also a fun and rewarding experience. As a token of appreciation, everyone who registers (Before May 15th) for the event will receive a free shirt to wear on race day. We will also provide complimentary breakfast and lunch to all participants so you can fuel up before and after the race.
Kids will also have the opportunity to enjoy fun activities such as face painting, games, and other family-friendly entertainment. So come out and enjoy a day of fitness, community, support and make lasting memories with your loved ones.
** REGISTER BEFORE MAY 15th TO RECEIVE YOUR FREE T-SHIRT.
