In 2019, a group of local change makers passionate about amplifying local causes adopted our Foundation and worked with us in a consultative role. This influential team of diversely talented women at Apricity provided us with critical feedback about our fundraising activities and events. Global Citizenship is an important part of the learning happening at Baturyn School. This Christmas, Baturyn School students from the Grades 5 and 6 Global Citizenship team decided to support local and raise funds to help children in Edmonton. They organized a Holiday Gift Shop so their peers could purchase presents for their family members and donated all the profits to our full-day Kindergarten piggybank. In total, they raised $402.70.

213 Edmonton Public schools. Every year, students and staff provide financial, in-kind and volunteer support to local, provincial and global non-profit organizations. They are also eager to help level the playing field at District schools that reside in socially vulnerable neighbourhoods.
That’s why we nominated the J. Percy Page High School Team of students and staff for a 2018-19 District Recognition Award, which was presented on December 4.

Foundation Founder Diana Joseph made the most “magnificent” announcement during a special event at Beacon Heights School on November 28: a monumental gift of $375,000 - $75,000 annually for five years – to support the six full-day Kindergarten programs currently funded by the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation.
Read more...Every November, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Edmonton and Area Chapter hosts the National Philanthropy Day luncheon where local non-profits can honour their donors and partners. This year, we recognized two special Foundation donors: Brookfield Residential Edmonton and Ray & Joyce Purdy who are loyal ambassadors and supporters of early learning intervention. But that is not all! The Purdy’s and the Brookfield staff are always willing to help broaden our fundraising efforts and connect us with other like-minded philanthropists in the community.
